Waterproofing system carrying a 20-year warranty.

The project features one of the deepest basements in the UAE, extending seven levels below ground, with a 4 m thick raft slab reflecting the scale and complexity of the structure.

Site conditions were restricted, limiting a continuous work front and requiring the sequence to be planned around access as it became available. A 15 cm wide expansion joint at Basement Level 3 also had to be waterproofed and tied into the existing truck tunnel at DIFC, demanding close coordination with the adjacent structure.

Substructure — 36,000 m² of fully bonded HDPE membrane across seven basement levels, including treatment to 900 pile heads

Water tanks — 3,000 m² of GRP lining
